Our Activities
The Union Park Neighborhood Association (UPNA) is a non-profit organization funded by contributions from its members and fund raising activities. The UPNA provides important services to all residents and businesses located on Upton Street, Union Park, Union Park Street, Pelham and parts of Shawmut, Tremont and Washington Streets. If you live here, you are a member of the association. These services have a cost and since we do not charge dues we depend on your contributions. Our annual expenses are approximately $14,000.

We need your contributions so that the UPNA can continue to provide the services that both protect and improve your neighborhood. Examples of these services are:

- Weekly sidewalk and curb cleaning by an individual hired by the Association
- Spring and Fall clean-up volunteer days
- Holiday Party and seasonal neighborhood decorations
- Picnic on the Park and Upton Street Block Party
- Representation at City Hall hearings
- City lobbying to deal with trash, parking, crime, groundwater and Logan Airport issues
- Participation in city permitting/licensing process for homeowner decks, restaurants, and building developments in our area
- Public neighborhood association meetings and quarterly newsletters
- Coordination with other neighborhood associations on issues and events
- Friends of Union Park fund raising event in June for park beautification and maintenance.

The UPNA priorities in 2008 are:

- Public safety thru neighborhood watches and friend raising
- Keeping the neighborhood clean
- Community involvement and participation

Contributions are tax deductible. Please make your check payable to Union Park Neighborhood Association and mail it in to UPNA PO Box180750 Boston 02118.

Volunteers and suggestions are always welcome and you can e-mail us at info@upna.org. The UPNA maintains an e-mail mailing list as an additional communication vehicle to keep residents informed of pertinent issues and events. If you would like to add your name, e-mail us at info@upna.org.

Many thanks in advance for your generosity and support!
